Mirubox TRI is designed to be used at Three Phase systems with Neutral (3 L + 1N).
Now that Mirubox TRI is available we explain how to install it.
It is very easy, and similar on how to install Mirubox mono. However, there are some particularities you should keep in mind to avoid damaging the device and ensure the accurate electricity metering with the Mirubox TRI.
- Mirubox TRI has two power terminals. They must be connected between Phase and Neutral, NEVER between phases as the device would get damaged. You can do it on a single-phase sub-circuit or under the main three-phase circuit protection (choosing properly one Phase and the Neutral cables).
- Current clamp 1 must measure the same phase used to power the device (it doesn’t need to be the same cable, just the same phase).
- Current clamps 2 and 3 must be connected to the other two phases in any order.
- All three current clamps must be installed in the same orientation (no matter the orientation, but all three equal).
Finally, after you switch on the electricity again, it’s necessary to do the Wi-Fi setup as usual, following the steps shown on the APP. Remember the Red LED always blinks (it’s the normal behaviour). If the Wi-Fi settings are correct and there is connection to the server, the blue LED will blink faster than usual for a few seconds and will ultimately remain on. Then everything will be OK.
¡Now, you can take control of the electric consumption of your three-phase home!
Before handling the electrical panel, remember to take a basic but fundamental precaution: switch off the current of your house. For further security, you can wear thin gloves that allow you to work but avoid skin contact with any potentially electrified part.
